THE OPPORTUNITY:

The Residential Service Manager leads a staff to repair and maintain residential heating and air conditioning systems. Works directly with technicians, managers, dispatchers and other personnel to ensure customer satisfaction and obtain departmental goals and objectives.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Recruit, hire, train and retain HVAC technicians
  • Supervise and direct HVAC technicians
  • Review HVAC technicians work to ensure quality standards are being met and improve productivity
  • Establish training programs and goals for HVAC technicians
  • Conduct departmental meetings and participate in management meetings
  • Communicate daily with dispatcher to review ongoing jobs and ensure that HVAC technicians are being assigned to jobs based upon skill level, training, and efficiency
  • Monitor departmental budgets, goals, and objectives to attain sales and profit objectives
  • Review work orders, time tickets, parts on order, and invoices
  • Ensure that company and departmental policies are being followed
  • Oversee use and maintenance of company HVAC service vehicles
  • Maintain residential service customers and generate new customer base
  • Generate sales leads, quotes, and preventative maintenance contracts/pricing
  • Must be proficient and capable of technical problem solving

THE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Five years HVAC management experience or combination of experience and education
  • Post-high school training
  • In-depth knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems
  • Leadership and team building skills
  • Detail oriented and highly organized
  • Computer skills (knowledge of MS word, excel and outlook) and ability to operate general software applications
  • Valid driver’s license, clean record and background, and ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 50lbs
  • Perform physical activity with no restrictions in various climate conditions
  • Able to provide support to HVAC technicians working evenings and weekends as required
  • NATE Certification (preferred)
  • Universal CFC Certification (preferred)

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $65,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
